Species

Alistal

(ah-liss-stahl / ah-liss-stahls)

Alistals are a typically androgynous faelien species with brightly coloured skin, though some occasionally choose to get breast implants due to enjoying the appearance of them. They always have equine ears, a singular horn on their head, and at least 1 set of wings on their back. Alistals also have growths of crystals on their body, an equine tail, and hooved feet.

Additionally, all Alistals are simultaneous hermaphrodites; meaning they possess both male and female genitalia. Some Alistals have a preference on which "role" they take or that they prefer their partner to take in sexual encounters, resulting in what other species refer to as "sexual preference" or "sexual orientation". However, most Alistals are fine with switching things up. Furthermore, many Alistals partake in ethical non-monogamy and have many partners. It is not uncommon for Alistals to enjoy multiple partners in a single encounter either. That being said; some Alistals do choose to happily live monogamously with a single partner, though it is not the norm for the species.

Fau'lait

(fow-lay)

Fau'lait are beastman Faeliens who are on the rarer side - at least, rarely seen. They are fawn-like saytrs who take on the colors of different milks/drinks. They are known for helping to create foods for other species, and their magic tends towards baking/sweets created. Fau'laits tend to congregate with other species as caregivers; different 'flavors' of Fau'laits have different traits and horn types. Fau'lait love the human mythology of "satyrs" and "fauns like Mr. Tumnus", and they are very protective of their furry legs; it is fashionable to wear decorative socks to cover their fur, and to swap them out regularly for outfits/holidays/events.

Fau'laits thrive in multiple temperate to cold environments; the main pocket of their culture, with their leaders, is found on (insert planet name), but they can live anywhere they can breathe and build a house. They are capable of swimming. They do not handle heat well.

Gossafin

(goss-ah-fin / goss-ah-fins)

Gossafins, residing deep under the water's surface, are generally playful and mischievous creatures. With long powerful fish tails, and fins along their forearms, they easily traverse their home planets through the multiple oceans and seas. A known trait of Gossafins is that parts of their body, usually their tails and/or arms, become translucent when wet. This gives parts of their body a glass-like, fullg see-through appearance while submerged in their natural habitat. This natural phenomenon helps them with hunting food and camoflaging to hide from predators. However when a Gossafin dries off on land, their body becomes completely opaque and reveals beautiful colourage. Gossafins have been known to be hunted by other fae throughout history specifically for their tails. When dried, Gossafin tails can be sold on the black market to "fin collectors" that treat the tails as works of art to be collected. Due to being hunted over the centuries, it has become rare for Gossafins to venture on land; let alone be out of water long enough to dry off.

Praeda

(pray-da / pray-daz)

Beast-like faeliens known as Praedas are a fairly common type of fae. Born with the ears and tails of various fauna, these humanoid fae tend to exhibit more animal-like behavioral characteristics. Lupine Praedas are known to travel in packs and be very loyal to their friends and family, while other types of Praedas can be more loner types.

These types of fae do not always have antennae but their eyes match their animal counterpart; such as slited pupils for Feline Praedas. It is said that Praedas evolved from animals from the planet earth in far off galaxy through genetic Mutations, however there is no written documentation of this phenomenon occuring.

Tauralm

(tawr-all-m / tawr-all-ms)

Tauralms are a bovine-esque species of Faelien with hooved feet, and bovine ears and tail. Also sporting long, smooth antennae and occasionally horns made of the same material of the antennae; though not always in the same colouration. Additionally, Tauralms typically have a bell-shaped accessory or marking on their body in order to show respect for their heritage as bells are often used in numerous traditions within the Tauralm culture. It is rare for a Tauralm to refuse to sport a bell accessory or tattoo, however no Tauralm has ever been treated differently for making that choice due to the species notoriously accepting nature.

Umbra

(uhm-bruh)

Umbras are very intelligent species that are elemental in nature. There are multiple subspecies that consist of beings made fully of fire, water, even shadows. Their core is a gemstone of some sort and is holds their mind/soul. Their elemental body forms must exist where they can be close to their element in some way. This can be dangerous in travel…

As a result, this species has built technical bodies in which they can slot their gem; this allows them to explore safely in the robot bodies. These robot forms can travel, explore, handle low and high pressure, etc. Umbras are known as being very brave and willing to try new things as long as their robot bodies are kept tuned up. Having an Umbra on your team is seen as a great boon

Umbra are typically very sparse and do not have cultural ties to gender or sexuality. They choose how they present and can be involved sexually but reproduce with magic asexually. Umbra will typically try to fit into the culture they spend the most time with.
